Service Description
The Philosophy: Kinesiology Taping (or K-Tape) is a specialized, flexible cotton or nylon tape designed to support your body without restricting your movement. Unlike traditional rigid taping, K-Tape mimics the natural elasticity of your skin, acting as an external "support system" that helps your body heal while you stay active. How K-Tape Works for Your Recovery: Decompression & Pain Relief: By gently lifting the skin, the tape creates a microscopic space between the skin and the tissues underneath. This helps "decompress" the area, taking pressure off pain receptors and allowing for more comfortable movement. Reducing Swelling: This "lifting" effect also encourages the body’s natural drainage system (the lymphatic system) to work more efficiently, helping to clear away bruising, swelling, and inflammation faster. Muscle Support & Awareness: K-Tape provides a gentle "reminder" to your brain about your body’s position. This helps support weak muscles, improves your posture, and prevents you from over-stretching an injured area. Safety & Contraindications To ensure the best results for your skin and health, K-Tape is not suitable for those with: Allergies to acrylic adhesives or highly sensitive skin. Open wounds, broken skin, or active eczema in the area. A history of DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) or blood clotting disorders. Note: If you are currently undergoing active cancer treatment, please provide a note of approval from your GP prior to application.
Cancellation Policy
Service Terms and Conditions. ​Dimples Bodywork & Recovery Practice - operates a women-only policy to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our clientele. Non-Refundable Deposit for Male Clients Ignoring Women Only Policy: Any booking made by a male client who disregards the women-only policy will be subject to a non-refundable charge of the full treatment value at the time of booking. This deposit will only be waived if the booking form explicitly states that the service is being purchased as a gift for a female partner. The name and contact information of the female recipient may be requested within the booking form. Upon arrival, if the client is male and the booking was not explicitly stated to be for a female partner, the appointment will be refused, and the non-refundable amount will be retained. ​Lateness Policy: At Dimples Bodywork & Recovery Practice, I aim to serve all my clients. I kindly ask that clients arrive on time for scheduled appointments, failure to attend your scheduled appointment after 15 minute grace period (no-show) will result in your appointment being cancelled and a charge of the full-service cost or full retainment of any pre payment. ​Cancellation Policy: ​Full Prepayment will be required at the time of bookings being accepted, please pay these invoices within 48 hours of the invoice being accepted to deter no-shows and ensure a more seamless transaction unless a separate payment method has been discussed.​ At Dimples Bodywork & Recovery Practice I recognize that unexpected circumstances can arise. Therefore, I kindly ask that clients provide at least 24' notice when cancelling or rescheduling appointments. This policy enables me to better serve all my clients and maintain an efficient schedule. Please note that cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee. Cancellations made before the 24-hour grace period will not incur any fees. You can reschedule at no additional cost. be aware payments are non-refundable, as they account for my lost time that could have been spent with other clients. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours of the appointment result in a cancellation fee equal to the full payment amount, and an invoice will be emailed.
